Your Root Starts from Your Big Toe

In nature, the roots of plants grow in the soil. The big toe, located at the bottom of the human body, is in direct contact with the earth, which has a "root" nature. Your big toes play an important role in supporting your weight and balancing your physical body.

There are two source points on your big toe on both sides. One is connected to the spleen meridian and another one is connected to the liver meridian. Yinbai acupoint is in the spleen meridian, it is on the outside of the end of the big toe, about 0.1 cun from the angle of the nail. Dadun acupoint is in the liver meridian, it is located on the inner end of the big toe, 0.1 cun from the angle of the nail. Massaging your big toe can provide many health benefits as follows:

1.  Enhances digestion: Yinbai acupoint in the spleen meridian can help strengthen digestion and boost immunity.

2.  Improves sleep quality: Dadun acupoint in the liver meridian can help strengthen the liver’s detoxification process at night. Both acupoints can help prevent insomnia and improve sleep quality.

3.  Regulates menstruation cycles for women.

The best time to massage your big toe is in the morning between 9 am to 11 am because the energy is peaking in your spleen meridian. Consistency is the key.
